E-Guru is an advanced learning environment that offers a host of features and functionality to the students making it easier and better than ever to learn through distance education. E-Guru is powered by an multi-award winning Learning management system by MIT SDE’s technical partner Upside Learning’s UpsideLMS.  

E-Guru, specifically, offers the following unique benefits to the Distance Education students:

	A centralized system to access all information related to the courses a student is undertaking. This includes learning resources, information about payments, dispatches, personal profile and much more.
	A fully-functional, web-based environment supporting virtual classroom to enable audio/video shared remote classroom sessions around specific topics.
	Beyond conventional training methods – Enhanced Social Learning tools in E-Guru offer students to create their own network of friends and also enable them to share useful and relevant content in form of videos and photos with each other. An internal micro-blogging tool enables students to post quick status updates / share timely information with each other through E-Guru.
	Blogging feature. E-Guru has its own blog engine which the students can use to post new articles or even reply / comment on anything they find of interest.
	Integrated Grade Book showing detailed information on assignments, exams, courses, etc.
	Through the communities module, E-Guru enables creation of vast knowledge networks all generated by students

The E-Guru platform is a very easy to use and contemporarily-designed web system. Built around a collaborative and interactive environment for learning and sharing, E-Guru is an ideal platform to access all learning material, interact with faculty and subject matter experts, seek on-demand help on queries and connect with other students with similar interests. Tools like Chatroom, Discussion Boards create an environment of high level of interaction with each other and faculty.

Some new tools like RSS Feed Aggregator, Wiki module for knowledge creation and management, integration with Live Twitter service make E-Guru a unique learning environment for everyone.
